For the challenge of December on the blog a bit of everything, the theme proposed by winner for the month of November, which was Anna, has been “Christmas DIY”. A DIY Christmas, as it could not be otherwise in these dates.
In my previous post appeared a wreath of pine cones as part of a Christmas composition with recycled elements. Today I explain how did it, although evidently has not any mystery. It is stringing pine cones and balls of styrofoam. For this I have used rope, because I wanted a rustic and natural look. Any other type of lace cotton, twine, etc. baker could be used
Punch I’ve holed the ball from side to side, openings giving the thick enough to be able to introduce the rope, and I made a knot at each end of this to prevent the ball from moving.
Between ball and ball I’ve collated the pineapples. To attach them, I simply rolled a little cord hiding it between its scales and with a dot of silica.
As this Christmas wreath is simple to make, and yet so decorative.
I remember the composition that I commented at the beginning of the post, which was part the wreath:
And decorating my position in the market the Grandpa’s workshop during the last weekend.
In addition, wreath, I made other two Christmas DIY for the decoration of the place, but without any idea of selling them… well not you imagine the of times that asked me about them. Is that they like…teniais that have heard the scolding from my mates hahahaha, but even so I didn’t want to sell, with the things I had, and just people are going to tempt which was not for sale lol.
The truth is that during the weekend of December, sales we were pretty good, and even receive commissions… but that will tell you it inanother post.
At the moment, I taught one of the DIY’s telling you. I have used three hearts of Cork that I painted in white.
The first I’ve lined with burlap fabric, simply by drawing the silhouette of the heart on the fabric and cut the surplus. Then, I have given white edges, tail no fraying.
The second I also lined it, but in this case with a very vintage Christmas paper.
And on the third I made a stencil embossing using a template of snowflakes. Once dry pasta, have again put the template to give a Pearly brillito, I’ve got to mixing white paintings and silver.
Finally, I’ve drilled cores with a punch to hang them with rope, baker red and white twine and cord silver respectively.
It only is unite all three in a same string a little thicker and…
It the result is a Christmas hanging nice to decorate any door, furniture, or that can hang on the tree or on the wall.
Os animais to make your own Christmas ornaments?
I took mine to the Frugal weekend of Marcela, and also participated with them in the monthly challenge of Anna, for which you can visit all the proposals and vote your favorite from here. Don’t you miss it so much inspiration in these two beloved blogs friends.
